A Worcester Decorator laments the current state of politics in light of the EU Referendum and wonders if the education aspect of our MPs is to blame. With too many PPE, Law, and PR trained people in politics, perhaps it's time we channelled the spirit of Brunel and Newton and Faraday and Ava Lovelace into politics - where science, and true objectivity rather than the argued feints of lawyers and the interpretation of subjective perceptions should help us govern?

It's a welcome sign that a new micro-pub is opening up in St. John's: the Bull Baiter, named after the grim sport that used to be carried out in St. John's in this area two centuries ago. It's good for the community and bucks the trend of pub closures nationwide. Here's to the Bull Baiter! 

As someone who has lived and painted in Worcester for years, it cheers me up to see a member of our public services offer help to a vulnerable person in the streets. I would like to share with you the video of the incident which has been featured on the Worcester News. It's a heartening thing to see and reminds me that a bit of common decency can go a long way.

From the benefits of angular brushes for decorating corners to advice on colouring ceilings and painting banisters, he hopes his advice will be heeded, and wonders if this should be a new way of attracting new clients?

With the weather getting hot-hot-hot this weekend, a Worcester Decorator ponders on the delightful interruptions of exterior decorating at this time of year. With the delightful acrobatics of the birds on display (please, no silly jokes), we have braved the ire of nesting starlings on a neighbouring building and befriended a nesting robin in a pub garden. Taking care not to disturb the avians, they are a wonderful companion to our decorating (except the starlings).
